As I type this article, it is in the aftermath of several primary elections throughout the United States, and just a little under two months before the midterm general election. A month ago, several candidates who declared themselves openly as socialist/communist won some local level races, most notably in Michigan where Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed from Wayne County who served as the director of the local Department of Health, won the Democrat Party nomination for Senate. He is running against Republican Mike Rogers, a former Congressmen from Michigan’s 8th District.
Abdulrahman was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan to Egyptian immigrants. It is interesting to watch the route this man has pursued in becoming the Democrat nominee. He graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Biology and Political Science. He also achieved the high distinction of being inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa and further received a full tuition scholarship to pursue an MD at the University of Michigan Medical School. His Wikipedia profile says that he became a Rhodes Scholar in his second year attending Oriel College at Oxford University where he completed a DPhil in Public Health after which he completed his medical degree at Columbia University, and this part of his education funded by the Paul and Daisy Soros foundation. (Paul Soros was the older brother of the infamous investor and political financier George Soros). But at this point, instead of going into the world of medicine, Abdulrahman instead decided to enter the world of politics, in particular Public Health. The question now should be why would such an educated man join with the socialist/communist brand of leftist politics?
The academic side is more of a façade. He has never been outside of it, or outside of government. I do not know how much of a difference he has made in Public Health in the “Wolverine State”. But in the world of politics (and particularly in the state of Michigan) this man has one trump card to play…Islam.
Abdulrahman El-Sayed is Muslim. And parts of Michigan are heavily saturated with Muslims who have immigrated into this nation, and which has the potential to severely alter the political landscape of that state and many others throughout the United States (i.e. Illinois, Texas, New York, etc.).
From all indications, he is trying to put up a new persona while trying to hide and/or wipe away all his previous outrageous statements in support of Islamic terrorism against this nation, Israel, and the Western world. And they are trying to sanitize his support for communism/socialistic economics to pacify Michigan’s business interests and even its auto unions as well. And among all the political noise comes the most obvious question: What do woke leftist, socialist/communist, and Islamics have in common?
It was the same question I asked about Zoran Mamdani last year during the New York City mayoral election. If religion was a serious factor for Mamdani or Abdulrahman El-Sayeed, then why would they have anything to do with the LGBTIQQ and or any of the other coalitions involved with the political left? In fact, back in June, there was something that happened in Dearborn, Michigan which received very little media coverage…because it was done by an Islam dominated city council. They unanimously voted NOT to celebrate the LGBT in what the democrats and the liberal leftists declared as “pride month”. In Dearborn there would be no rainbow flags or “pride parades” in the streets, and there were no protests against the city council, no lawsuits. Nothing. (Gee…I wonder why?) But now these groups are coming together? Why?
The answer to that question should not come as a shock to anyone. A hatred for Israel.
There are a couple of reasons why I believe this point.
First is the American political/congressional system itself. I doubt most people in this country, or for that matter the rest of the world, understand how difficult it is to get something done in the legislative branch of this country, both at the state level as well as in the national. Intentionally, the process is slow, detailed, and difficult. The most powerful legislators are not the ones who make loud speeches which make excellent soundbites on newscasts and podcasts. Rather it’s the ones who can move their ideas to bills which can pass through one house, and then the other house, and then be signed by the person who is at the top of the Executive Branch (i.e., the President of the United States in the national level, local governors at the state level). And there are many procedures to stymy such processes. With this fact in mind, it is almost improbable at the National level to have a one-party state. However, it is possible at the state level in states like California. But to do so, the elections have to be “controlled” by the powerbrokers, namely the democrat establishment. Hence in that state, there is such a push against the commonsense legislation of the Save America Act. Corruption is so widespread that it has become almost an accepted way of life! And even though California electoral process has become a national joke, not to mention that several major areas of the state have become uninhabitable, they cling to the corruption with a death grip.
A few seats in the congress and a seat or two in the United States Senate will not do much for the socialists. This is not to say that their presence should be tolerated; far from it. They can and will do damage to any state they are elected in (i.e., Illan Omar and Minnesota) for the simple matter that they hate the very freedoms of this nation and the way of life that comes from them. But for the most part, they are restricted to national soundbites and almost all of them will go clinically insane when they find out that they are not as important or as world shaking as their acolytes and fawners tell them so! Reality always bites hard. Most of them will come to the realization that their hopes and expectations were just smoke and mirrors, but at least the job feeds their egos and possibly their pocketbooks.
The place where their real focus will be is their hatred of Israel/antisemitism, antichristian stances/policy, and any other idea which they hope will change the metaphorical landscape of the United States. There is nothing else that unites the two divergent groups. True Believers in Jesus Christ must pay attention.
All the groups mentioned here who have formed the leftist alliance (the woke/liberals, socialist/communist, and the Islamists) are all under the influence of the Dragon-Satan mentioned in Revelation 12. They are driven by the devil and all the powers of darkness to a raging hatred of true Bible-believing Christians and Jews and the Judeo-Christian ideas coming from the Bible.
They constantly scream “Free Palestine!” and “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” But these characters are not speaking in hyperbole or metaphors. They intend to kill every citizen of Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. Abdulramman El-Sayed, Zoran Mamadami, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow squad members in congress justified the Hamas terrorists who committed the October 7 attack, without hesitation. Hamas is a death cult. And when the Israeli Defense Forces retaliated, then it became “genocide against the Palestinians.” But the murderous intent and rhetoric is matter of record, and not one of these fools will call Hamas or its terrorists allies, supporters, or sponsors to account. Instead, they intend to support them, sanitize them, romanticize them even as they continue to attempt killing Jews and subverting and attacking Christians peoples in the West. Toward that they have found allies with the woke crowd who share their antichristian bent and who will support every Islamo-terrorist and Islamic dogma pushes even though Islamic religious leaders have expressed their utter disdain toward the lgbt to the point of having them killed without any hesitation in Islamic nations. In turn, the Islamis will support the LGBT rainbow mafia to the point of pretending no to know What is a Woman, or a Man
Muslims in this country, indeed in any western nation, will not understand how a nation like this can exist. It would never be created from the religion of Islam. It is not a religion that ever appreciated the idea of personal freedom or choice. Every single Islamic nation has been cited for human rights violations by Amnesty International and other human rights agencies, particularly with regards to their treatment of women and other ethnic and religious minorities.
Some would argue that such a phenomenon would be impossible in the West. I suggest that people who say that look into the nations of Europe who believed their “civilizing, secular” influences would stem the tide of “barbarism.” They were all wrong. Rape gangs, sharia law, threats of violence and intimidation, all of these have become a regular part of daily life in England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany and other place that stupidly opened their gates thinking that their civilizations and livelihood would not be affected. The most recent example took place in Oxford University’s student debate forum, the Oxford Union, where right wing activist Laurence Fox and Tommy Robinson (and some others) were invited to debate the subject of Islam and Free Speech. The opposition was made up of Muslim women (two of whom are in the leadership of the Oxford Union) and men along with other white leftists. One of the Muslim women opened up the debate by saying that if she and her compatriots gave the word, Fox, Robinson, and the rest of the men who made up the conservative side of the argument would be “quite literally cooked.” And this was in the Oxford Union, the oldest forum for free speech in the world. Or to quote former British Prime Minister Harold Macmillen (whose words about the union have becomes its motto), “the last bastion of free speech in the western world.” I guess that line means nothing now.
And now the Church world is faced with choices to make.
My advice to the Biblical-Evangelical Christians, and any other conservative God-fearing person of any other denomination and/or persuasion to watch closely these Islam socialist/woke leftist politicos and whichever church, synagogue, preacher, priest, rabbi or teacher gives their support to them. Those who do so are nothing but the proverbial ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing.’
We Bible believing Christians must learn some very important lessons from our forefathers in the Faith, going back to the first century of the Church so that we avoid a certain kind of fatalism and/or general apathy when it comes to worldview and ministry. We need to put ourselves into the historical context of the Church and the times in which they lived. For instance…
During the times of the book of Acts, there was an incident that took place that shook the Roman world as a whole and terrified the Christians and the Jews, particularly those who lived in Jerusalem. The incident is not mentioned directly in Acts, but Josephus and other historians make mention of it, and since it involved the Temple in Jerusalem, everyone would have known about it.
Imagine that you were living in the city of Jerusalem, or somewhere else in the region of Judea when you hear a news report that shocks everyone. A rumor coming from Rome; the crazy Roman Emperor Caligula intends to put a massive statue of himself in the Holy of Holies in the Jerusalem Temple.
If you were one of the people who had heard the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24) from the Lord and you remembered that he talked about days that would result when the “abomination of desolation mentioned by Daniel stands in the holy place.” “Let those who are Jerusalem flee to the mountains”. “Woe unto those women who are pregnant with children.” “When you see the armies around Jerusalem…”
Almost certainly, the Church would have fallen on their knees in prayer. This incident with Caligula and his image happened before the events in Acts 12 and the death of James and the arrest of Peter, both at the hands of King Agrippa (who happened to be Caligula’s best friend).
For four years, Caligula inaugurated hell on earth, only most of his insanity was almost 2,000 miles away in Rome. Now it was in the proverbial “backyard”. Unless the Lord did a miracle, the bloodshed and violence that would erupt in the region would be beyond description.
What would the reaction of the average believer be at that moment? Would they just say, “well it’s not our business”, “it’s not our problem”, “nothing will happen to us”, or worse still, “the Lord said these things would happen at His return, perhaps that moment is here!”
It is easy to say that something does not concern us…until it does. People who say that phrase regularly almost always lack the Holy Spirit gift of discernment about the times in which they live, and about the alliances that are made in such times. (To put this into a modern-day situation: right now, in the state of Texas, there is an election for the Senate seat which is currently held by incumbent Senator John Cornyn. The democrat party candidate running for that seat is a fellow named James Talarico who right now is putting up one of the biggest PR pushes in history to coverup a variety of idiocies from his past. The biggest demonstration of which are his statements against Christianity. This fellow says he is a “Christian who hates Christianity.” That is blasphemy and abomination. And still so-called “Christian churches” have welcomed him despite knowing that he is antichristian! Of course, the press does not cover this. Every one of those churches should be considered part of his ilk as well.)
The true Believers in Jesus Christ must pay attention.
America is 250 years old. During the Independence Day in July, I saw some cartoonist and editorialists satirically remark that this milestone meant that this nation survived 250 years of “the most important election of our time.” My response to that is this: remember what Benjamin Franklin said at the signing of the Constitution: “If you can keep it.” Every election IS more important than the one before it because one should never underestimate the damage that one group of terrible people can do once they acquire power!
One can argue about constitutional safeguards and/or the system of checks and balances, but those things are only a façade. That such people will fundamentally try to alter the moral and spiritual structure behind the façade should never be taken lightly. That is exactly what Hitler and the Nazis achieved in Germany. Exactly what the Communists did in Russia. Once in power THEY became the conscience of the nation. And history records in detail how the Church was flattered and seduced before being neutered to irrelevancy and ultimately to slaughter.
May God open our eyes. And may He intervene, not just in this election time, but also by provoking His people, Bible believing, Holy Spirit filled people, to get on their knees and pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. When God’s people rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit, the forces of hell will flee.
